A new Berlin-style doner kebab restaurant is opening in the Arndale

A new doner kebab restaurant is opening its doors in the Arndale later this year, along with several other new vendors.

Doner Shack will soon be welcoming kebab enthusiasts in Halle Place after it took on a 15-year lease, where it will join the likes of Archie’s, Barburrito and Wolf Italian Street Food.

PizzaLuxe will also be opening in the food quarter, with the restaurant most famous for its breakfast pizzas and pizza bowls – in which the bowl is made out of pizza dough.

A branch of American coffee chain Gloria Jean’s will also be coming to the shopping centre, heading into a central mall kiosk.

Doner Shack is moving into a 2,800 sq ft unit at Halle Place, and alongside a range of authentic kebabs it will also be serving up halloumi, falafel, vegan schnitzel and currywurst.

This new kebab concept comes from the people behind the massive Berlin-style restaurant in the Corn Exchange, Doner Haus.

“Archie’s, Barburitto and Wolf Street Food already offer something unique, which is clearly attractive to our customers.

“The arrival of Doner Shack and PizzaLuxe will only add to the distinctive appeal of Halle Place to visitors.

“Gloria Jean’s is renowned for its high-quality coffee and beverages. It is a perfect destination for our customers to relax.

“Being able to welcome a trio of new food and beverage operators is a testament to Manchester Arndale’s position as one of the leading shopping centres in the UK.

“The centre has remained robust and resilient during 2020 and we are confident we will continue to add to our strong F&B offering throughout 2021 and beyond.”
