Manchester has gained an exciting new Greek dark kitchen boasting an array of authentic street food from the heart of Crete.

Founded by Cretan Nikolaos Fylladitakis, Laros Greek initially found life down Liverpool’s Bold Street where it has enjoyed overwhelming success as a result of its authentic cuisine, with the majority of ingredients sourced and imported directly from Greece.

And now, Nikolaos has made the bold decision to expand his business to the capital of the North, but this time operating as a dark kitchen for people to order and enjoy his food from the comfort of their own homes.

Having opened its doors last week on Wednesday October 27th, Laros Greek is offers the people of Manchester a selection of quality and fresh Greek street food such as their renowned chicken and honey or pork and tzatziki gyros.

Also on the menu is the juicy pork, chicken or lamb souvlaki and the eatery’s famous ‘better than halloumi’ Talagani cheese fries. Talagani is similar to halloumi but, according to Nikolaos, is ‘even better’ because of its creamy and rich flavour.

There will also be a number of fresh salads and meat-free options for vegan and vegetarian customers.

For dessert, Laros is offering its divine Loukoumades; sweet Greek donut balls served traditionally with honey syrup and chopped walnuts, though Laros has put its own twist on the classic with the addition of lavender to its honey syrup.

Nikolaos said on his latest venture: “Laros has become increasingly popular in Liverpool and we’ve really enjoyed serving so many people our delicious, healthy, authentic Greek cuisine.

“The most important part of this journey is to bring to our guests, flavours that we have grown up with and to provide a source of education of what truly Greek food entails.

“We have been very rewarded by our guest’s feedback and are delighted that they share this experience with us. Laros is a takeaway of the future and I want everyone to be able to enjoy restaurant quality dishes from the comfort of their own home.”

Laros Greek is available for delivery now via Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo from 12pm-10.30pm everyday. Follow them on Instagram for news and updates.
