After nineteen long months without that all-you-can-eat world food goodness, Manchester’s Cosmo World Buffet is finally reopening next week.
Like the rest of Manchester’s hospitality industry, Cosmo – a banqueting restaurant serving world-wide cuisine – was forced to close its doors in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic first took a hold, with it telling its loyal customers at the time that the decision was taken ‘out of an abundance of caution, and concern for the health and well-being of the community’.
However, when the rest of the hospitality industry started reopening a couple of months later, the Deansgate restaurant sadly didn’t follow suit, and it has remained firmly closed to this very day.

The reason behind the restaurant’s closure has never been confirmed, though many have speculated the long queues and ‘self-serve’ style the restaurant adopts could have been the cause due to hygiene concerns following the pandemic.
But now, the moment we’ve all be waiting for has arrived; Cosmo is officially reopening next week on Wednesday, November 10th!
In a social media post, the restaurant announced the exciting news by writing: “It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally official – our doors will be re-opening on Wednesday 10th November [and] we’re so excited to see you all again.
“It’s time to get together and enjoy an unlimited COSMO feast with us.”

And in aid of its reopening, Cosmo is hosting a couple of competitions over on its Facebook page, including a £50 voucher giveaway, and the chance for twenty-five people to win a free dinner for them and three friends.
Blue Light Card Holders have also been invited to try out a trial dinner on the house at the Deansgate restaurant too, which you can find out more about here.
