McDonald’s has announced the triple cheeseburger will be a permanent fixture on the menu from September.

Fans will be pleased to hear after a successful trial earlier this year, the triple cheeseburger will be rolling out nationwide from next week.

The cheeseburger comes with three beef patties, onions, pickles, mustard and cheese all sandwiched in a classic toasted bun.

It costs just £2.19 compared to a single cheeseburger which sets you back just 99p.

The burger was trialled back in February with fans describing it as a ‘game-changer’.

Another said: “I am ordering three, in advance, sorry to the guy on the grill.”

It might not be for you if you’re watching your calorie intake as the burger alone is listed at 520 calories on the US and Australian menus where it is currently available. There’s 43% of your daily value of fat in the burger with 28g of fat and 35g of carbs making up 12% of your daily intake.

The news comes as McDonald’s introduces more items back to their menu after reducing it throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
