If you thought Jaffa Cakes couldn’t get any better, think again.
McVitie’s and Krispy Kreme have come together in what could be the collaboration of the decade to create the ultimate confectionary hybrid: the ‘Jaffanut’.
The tasty treat promises to be ‘the best of both products’, complete with Krispy Kreme’s signature soft dough and the iconic Jaffa Cakes zesty orange flavoured filling.
Speaking about the launch, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Brand Manager Alice Jamieson said: “We’re really excited to announce the partnership between Krispy Kreme and McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes – bringing together the two taste sensations for the first time and offering another fun twist for ‘Jaffanatics’ to enjoy!”
Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland’s Director of Innovation Louise Direito added: “McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes are a much-loved product in the UK and Ireland and we’re excited to announce this partnership and bring consumers two iconic flavours in one product.
“We’ve had a lot of fun perfecting the Jaffanut and can’t wait for our customers to experience the same joy when they try it for themselves.”
Though this isn’t the first time McVitie’s has experimented with the iconic cake; earlier this year they unveiled the highly-anticipated white chocolate Jaffa Cakes for a limited time only.
The new version of the Jaffas featured the same soft, cakey base and marmalade jam but instead came with a sweet white chocolate coating, rather than the usual dark chocolate.
The Jaffanuts will be available in stores from September 5th, and will cost £2.45.
