Deansgate is now home to a brand new cafe specialising in coffee, brunch, lunch and all things CBD.
Okay, it’s not exactly brand new… Bloom Cafe opened its doors at the worst possible time; New Year’s eve 2020 which, as you’ll all be aware, was smack in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, something that nearly brought the hospitality sector to its knees.
But now, with Manchester firmly back open (I write with bated breath), Bloom is finally getting the business and the recognition it deserves.

But first, let’s address the elephant in the room; what exactly is CBD?
Short for Cannabidiol, CBD is one of the many chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant and has grown in popularity for its supposed positive effects on many common ailments and medical conditions – both physical and mental.
And, at Bloom Cafe, you can get a 20mg CBD shot in any of their drinks, which includes a selection of loose leaf teas, coffees and soft drinks.
But CBD isn’t the only thing on the menu; Bloom also has a dedicated menu of brunch and lunch classics, from crushed avocado on toasted sourdough to eggs Benedict and their very own full English breakfast.

Bloom also caters for vegan and plant-based customers, including their stacked breakfast pancakes which come served with strawberries, blueberries and maple syrup, the Blooming Shroom burger and the Blooming Vegan full English breakfast, made with vegan sausages, garlic mushrooms, beans and ‘bacon’ rashers made out of smoked carrot slices.
There are also a number of sweet treats to be enjoyed alongside your tea and coffee, including Blondies, Brownies, Cookie Dough Slabs and Pastries, all of which are made in-house.
Freshly baked cakes are supplied by local Ancoats baker LOAF MCR.
Bloom Cafe is open Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm, and Saturday – Sunday 9am – 6pm. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram for news and updates.
