Karen's Diner

A diner that prides itself on its rude staff and terrible customer service is now taking bookings for its upcoming restaurant in Greater Manchester.

The concept behind Karen’s Diner found life in Australia, and has been built upon the stereotype of ‘Karens’ – self-entitled and middle-aged white women who persistently demand to speak to the manager.

The interactive dining experience urges customers to ‘complain until the cows come home’ because staff ‘literally don’t care’.

But putting the shocking customer service to one side, diners will be able to enjoy an extensive menu of burgers, wings and milkshakes – vegan and vegetarian alternatives included.

There will also be themed burgers such as the ‘I Want to See the Manager Karen’ (two beef patties loaded with cheese, bacon, pickles and BBQ mustard sauce) and the ‘Karen’s Got Real Beef’ (slow-cooked BBQ beef brisket, bacon and coleslaw).

The Karen’s Diner website reads: “Karen’s is an interactive diner and an absurdly fun experience. At Karens you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen.

“A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don’t care.

“You can expect good food, good fun and a dining experience like you’ve never had before. Let us know if it’s your birthday, if your name is Karen and, for the love of Karen, don’t ask to speak to the manager.”

The confrontational concept has already opened in Sheffield, but will be heading to Prestwich at some point in May.

Bookings are now being accepted from May 1st onwards, so if you fancy being shouted at over a tasty burger, get booked in here.
