Someone has combined Biscoff with Battenberg cakes and people can’t get enough.
Lotus Biscoff is easily one of the most favoured biscuity flavours by the internet. People come up with all sorts of concoctions with the spread, including even making a Biscoff lasagne.
This time someone has gone back to all our childhoods, combining Lotus Biscoff with the nostalgic square Battenberg cake.
Just like the original pink and yellow cake, Biscoff Battenberg is a light sponge split into two different flavours and put together in a check pattern.
But this new flavour combo has Biscoff fondant instead of strawberry jam between the sponges. There’s also Biscoff fondant instead of marzipan wrapping around the entire cake.
And what’s more the whole thing is vegan!
Invented by vegan food blogger, @vecreation, popular vegan food blog @vegan_food_uk, shared the recipe and described it as ‘even better than the original’.
Speaking to Tyla, Beth, the genius behind the invention said: “We all have moments that remind us of the good old days. I love bringing that feeling into baking but with a little added excitement of new flavours and twists.
“Combining the nostalgia of the past with the excitement of the now and right now that excitement is very much Biscoff!”
