Slattery, the iconic family-run chocolatiers who have been providing those chocolatey goods to Mancunians far and wide since 1967, are looking for more people to take part in their epic chocolate challenge and, let me tell you, it’s not for the faint of heart.
The Whitefield-based chocolate shop launched the challenge around eight years ago and, ever since, it has grown to become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon.

So, what does it actually entail?
Well, the challenge itself contains a hell of a lot of chocolate, as you’d imagine – we’re talking a giant slab of chocolate fudge cake, fresh cream, a portion of chocolate ice cream, two chocolate pots filled with melted chocolate and a tall hot chocolate topped off with whipped cream and another piece of chocolate.
While many of you chocoholics think this sounds like a piece of cake (no pun intended), it is a seriously challenging task, with only 3% of people having completed their full plate in the past. Yep, it’s that chocolatey.

But if you’re able to conquer the challenge, you will receive a Slattery medal and a 100g box of Slattery chocolates (not that you’d need any after that).
The chocolate challenge costs just £15.95 and can be ordered while visiting Masons Dining Room in Whitefield.
