You can’t beat a proper pint, ice cold and pulled to perfection.

And it turns out that if you want a really, really good pint, you don’t have to travel far, as one Manchester pub has been crowned the Best Pint in the UK.

The Salisbury took the accolade at a national award ceremony recently, scoring an impressive ten out of ten across all criteria.

Located next to Oxford Road Station, the pub beat some stiff competition from 2,500 entrants to be crowned best pint.

Ranked on a range of criteria, from the quality of the serve to the fresh smell and taste of the pint, as well as the range of beers on offer, staff friendliness and product knowledge, The Salisbury came up top.

The pub is as well known for its impressive selection of beers and cask ales, as well as its rock jukebox and band memorabilia.

And it’s not the first time the establishment has won recognition, with other awards including a CAMRA Award for Best Cask Pub in 2014, a Great British Pub Award for Best Cellar in the North West – also in 2014 – and a regional Star Award win for the Best Cask Pub in 2017.

So if you’re stuck for somewhere to go for a pint today, head down to The Salisbury and try the best pint in the UK for yourself.

Cheers to that!
