Nestled among Manchester’s vast number of brunch and cafe bars there stands 19 Cafe Bar, an establishment rustling up arguably the best pancake stacks in the city.

When it comes to the sweet (and sometimes savoury) breakfast staple, these guys don’t mess about. All of their American-style pancakes – served in stacks of three – are made fresh to order to maintain optimum fluffiness and come with a whole array of topping options.

For example…

Hot on the menu is their classic ‘Pancakes & Fruit’ – fresh pancakes paired with lashings of golden syrup and fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries before being finished with a sprinkling of icing sugar.

There’s also the American classic of ‘Pancakes & Bacon’ served with golden syrup and, you guessed it, two slices of crispy bacon.

And for those of you with a particularly sweet tooth, there’s also a number of chocolate and dessert-inspired offerings that you simply cannot say no to – even at 11am in the morning.

The Biscoff Pancakes are a definite crowd pleaser, served with Biscoff spread, banana, ice cream, salted caramel sauce and finished with a fine dusting of Biscoff crumbs. Lovely.

There’s also the Kinder Pancakes, consisting of homemade Kinder Bueno sauce, kinder bueno, chocolate sauce, roasted hazelnuts & vanilla ice cream.

You can also get the pancakes served plain on their own, if that’s your bag.
