You can win a year’s supply of peri-peri chicken from Just Frango, a brand new Portuguese delivery service in the city.
Just Frango is available now on Deliveroo and Uber Eats offering up an impressive selection of freshly grilled cheese wraps and sides.
All the dishes are created by owner Marcio Coelho and his team who want to bring Portugal’s most popular street food to Manchester.
Portugal’s streets are lined with restaurants offering up mouth-watering “Frango no Churrasco” – chicken that has been roasted or grilled after being marinated for 24 hours.
Marcio’s peri-peri recipe is an old family recipe that will remain a secret forever but much like any secret family recipe – it is packed full of flavour.
In traditional Portuguese chicken-cooking, smaller chickens are used on the Frango as they are packed with more concentrated flavour.
There are five additional sliding scales of spicy marinades starting at ‘plain-ish’ and finishing at the extra hot ‘Jindungo’ if you think you can handle the heat!
The menu includes 1/2 Peri-Peri chicken (£6.95) or you can go for a full one at £11.95.
Also on the menu is Portuguese chicken wings (£3.95) as well as weekly guest burgers, kicking off with their unique Caco Chicken Burger which comes served on a traditional bolo de cacao bread roll from Madeira.
There is also an impressive menu of sides for you to have alongside your chicken including the usual spicy rice, fries and salads.
You will also find, a range of Stuffed Croquettes on the menu (beef, chicken or cod), Mandioca Frita or Yam Fries, and Brazil’s favourite street snack – Pao de Quejio – cheesy dough balls that just are pure heaven.
Of course – no mention of Portuguese food is complete without Pastel de Natas some of the best bitesize pastries delights you can put in your mouth.
Marcio insists he’s personally tested nearly 20 different recipes of Natas to get the best around town.
