LadBaby are going all out in their race for the UK Christmas number one this year with the help from music icons Ed Sheeran and Elton John.
YouTube stars Mark and Roxanne Hoyle have achieved three consecutive Christmas number ones since 2018 with their fun sausage roll-themed songs, all of which raise money for the Trussell Trust food bank charity.
And this year, in an attempt to reach the world record of four consecutive Christmas number ones, the Nottinghamshire couple have recruited the help of music icons Ed Sheeran and Elton John.
The couple said in a statement: “Ed and Elton are pop royalty and they’ve both had huge success at Christmas, so we’re honoured and excited to be coming together to help families this Christmas… With the power of sausage rolls.”
Sheeran, who was the last artist before LadBaby to have a festive number one with his 2017 love song ‘Perfect’, said he is ‘proud’ to be supporting and featuring on LadBaby’s single this Christmas.
He said, as per the BBC: “All profits will be donated to The Trussell Trust, which is a very wonderful and important charity, so make sure you stream it, buy it and play it on repeat.”
Elton John said in the announcement: “We’re coming together to make a difference this Christmas and raise as much money as possible for people in the UK that need it the most.”

LadBaby are currently tied with the Spice Girls and The Beatles, who both hold the record with three consecutive Christmas No 1s apiece.
This year, however, they face competition from Adele, Abba and Gary Barlow, plus some more traditional favourites like Mariah Carey and Wham!.
The single, titled ‘Sausage Rolls for Everyone‘, is available to preorder on Amazon and iTunes. It will be available on full release on December 17th.
