Robbie Williams will be returning to the road this year as part of a huge UK tour to celebrate a quarter of a century as a solo artist.

Williams started his career as a member of famed boyband Take That, but left the band in 1995 to embark upon his own solo career.

As a soloist, the forty-eight-year-old has recorded an impressive thirteen UK number one albums, making him one of the country’s most celebrated artists.

And to celebrate his career twenty-five-years on, Williams will be embarking upon a huge UK and Ireland tour, complete with two Manchester gigs.

His eight-stop tour will open with two shows in London in October, and will include performances in major cities like Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.

This comes just a week on from the singer’s announcement of his new album ‘XXV’, which is due for release on September 9th.

The album will feature a number of his greatest hits and fan favourites – such as ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘She’s the One’ – all of which have been re-recorded and newly orchestrated with the Metropole Orkest.

The new version of his smash hit ‘Angels’ was also released last week, and was performed by Williams during the half-time show at last night’s Soccer Aid event.

Speaking of the new album, Williams said: “Each track has a special place in my heart so it was a real thrill to record them again with the Metropole Orkest.”

Fans who pre-order ‘XXV’ from the official Robbie Williams store by 3pm on Tuesday June 14th will receive access to a special ticket pre-sale on Wednesday June 15th.

The pre-sale starts at 9am and will last for forty-eight hours. General sale tickets are available from 9am on Friday June 17th.
