A 16-year-old with no known underlying health conditions has sadly died after testing positive for coronavirus. The teenager’s tragic death was recorded in the daily NHS England figures released on Saturday, the Manchester Evening News reports. Their death was recorded among the thousands of people who have passed away after testing positive for Covid-19 in English hospitals in 2021. Late last week, it was also confirmed that a 13-year-old with no known underlying health conditions had died after testing positive for the virus.
No additional information has been released about the teenager.

Hospitals in England recorded a further 307 deaths from people who had tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. These deaths happened between January 12th and February 19th, and includes patients aged between 16 and 100 – all except four did have known underlying health conditions.
According to figures from the Department of Health, across the UK 120,365 people have died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
