Police have confirmed the tragic discovery of a body in the search for a missing teenager from Manchester, Eric Lin.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the awful news after finding a body on Thursday July 7th in the Warrington area of Cheshire.
Eric was reported missing from Bell Crescent, Beswick, on Sunday July 2nd. A number of appeals were made after his disappearance and an immediate investigation was launched.
There’s believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding Eric’s death.
Eric’s loved ones have been informed and have asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time. A formal identification is yet to take place.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies, of GMP City of Manchester North district, said: “Firstly, our thoughts remain with Eric’s loved ones at this difficult time.
“Formal identification is yet to take place, so we would ask that they have privacy whilst the investigation continues.”
