B&Q is set to reopen another 61 stores across the country following a successful trial run.
Last week, The British DIY retailer opened 14 stores to trial social distancing measures in-store and it seems it has been successful, as they are set to roll out more openings.
Prior to this, customers have only been able to access B&Q goods via a click and collect service following the closure of all stores on March 25th.
There will be strict social distancing measures in place, including 2-metre floor markings throughout the full shop and perspex screens at the checkout to protect workers.
There’s also likely to be queues to get inside the stores, due to a limit on the numbers of customers in the shop at one time.
The stores that are currently open allow for purchases on goods that can be bought and taken away on the day. This means a suspension on services such as kitchen and bathroom design, paint mixing, timber cutting and key cutting.
Customers can expect to only be allowed to make payments on card.
The nearby stores reopening include Bury, Bolton, Blackpool, Cheetham Hill, Chester, Stockport, Trafford Park and Warrington. A full list of the stores set to open is below:
