Chester Zoo reopened its doors to the public on Monday, and it looks quite different to normal.
After a three-month closure and a stressful few weeks of uncertainty surrounding the future of the zoo, the attraction welcomed visitors on Monday with open arms.
The attraction was able to reopen thanks to the Save Our Zoo campaign, which began earlier this month in efforts to raise money for the zoo as it struggled without visitors.

The campaign caught the attention of the media and led to it being given permission to reopen on June 15th.
However, Chester Zoo will look a little different when you visit now due to social distancing measures that have been put in place.
Some people have been sharing amazing photos of the zoo in its first week, here’s what it looked like:
@chesterzoo was fantastic today! It was great visiting for the reopening, as you can see they’ve put lots of measures in to help with social distancing. Throughout the whole day we all felt very safe and the crowds were managed extremely well! I’m so happy to see it open again!❤️ pic.twitter.com/hVzHMtawmS
