A fundraiser has been started with an urgent plea to the public for help, in order to raise money for a four-year-old’s ‘last chance’ to beat leukaemia.
The family of four-year-old Dillan Ramsay have been told there are no further treatment options available to him in the UK, but there is a clinical trial available in the US – which they need to raise £1 million for.
Dillan, from Cadishead in Salford, was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was just one, and was given a 93% chance at beating the disease by medical professionals, according to his mum Amy Ramsay.

The tot went through two years of gruelling treatment to battle the disease, and after all the chemotherapy and suffering, he relapsed last August.
Dillan received a bone marrow transplant in December but unfortunately he relapsed again in March this year and was given Car T-Cell therapy in May.
Just days ago his parents were told their little boy had sadly relapsed again, in his bone marrow, and that there are ‘no more treatment options left for him in the UK’, and his chance of finding a cure is ‘very small’.

The only option available for Dillan now is a privately funded medical trial which begins in October in Washington, in the USA, and will cost the family £1 million.
They immediately set up the fundraiser upon finding out the news, on Thursday August 17th, in a desperate bid to give their ‘precious’, ‘kind’ and ‘amazing’ little boy what they describe as his ‘last chance’ at finding a cure.
Amy wrote in an appeal on the family’s Go Fund Me Page: “Dillan should not have to go through this, he is the most precious, kind, amazing little boy with the funniest character.

“I can’t bare [sic] the thought of losing him, we need as much help financially as we can get.”
In a post on Instagram, Amy penned: “We have 1 month to raise £1,000,000 to send Dillan overseas to a clinical trial, this is his last chance at possible cure for his leukemia!
“Dilly has now had every treatment available in the UK, and his only chance is a self funded clinical trial.”

She added: “These past 3 years have been hell, this is not fair and he is not going down without a fight! As an instagram community we found him a match! Now we need to find him a cure!!
“Please SHARE, fundraiser in your local towns, businesses, make posters, do anything you possibly can to get us to target! Put the go fund me link in your bio!”
At the time of writing the family have raised over £287,000 of a £1,000,000 target from kind donations received from members of the public over the last four days.
