Full list of all the shops staying open in the Arndale during lockdown
Here’s the full list…
Following the new lockdown rules which came into effect yesterday, non-essential shops must close.
Many shops closed their doors again, in the hopes to reopen and trade again in December.
The Arndale is home to many retail shops that are among those forced to close. However, some of those that are classed as ‘essential’ can remain open and trade, such as Wilko, Boots and some food and drink outlets.
A statement issued by the Arndale says: “Manchester Arndale – which sits at the heart of the city – continued to provide access to key services such as pharmacies, supermarkets and banks throughout the lockdown in spring.
“Many of these essential services can only be reached through the centre and as we enter the new period of restrictions, we will ensure all our visitors are able to access them.
“Additionally, a selection of retailers may provide a click-and-collect service. A number of food outlets may also offer a takeaway and delivery service only.
“We recommend all customers planning to visit the centre review our website which will be updated regularly to reflect which stores are open.
“Our team will be on hand to make sure the centre remains a clean and safe place to visit and we ask all customers to continue to wear a face covering when shopping in the centre.
“We would like to thank our customers for their patience, our fantastic team and retailers, who have been working – and continue to work – very had under challenging circumstances.”
