Food critic Grace Dent has left the jungle just hours after fans expressed their concerns for her health.

Dent entered the camp just over a week ago and joined campmates including Jamie Lynn Spears, Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes, Nella Rose and Nigel Farage.

The 50-year-old was heard in last night’s episode (Sunday 27th) saying: “I just want to go home.”

It came after she was picked to partake in the next coming Bushtucker trial – Down the Tubes – with campmate Josie Gibson.

In a statement, ITV said: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds.

“She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

Dent was seen on camera on Sunday evening’s episode saying: “I just want to go home.”

She had also previously been heard saying that she had been struggling in the jungle before she took on the Touchdown in Terror trial as she was seen telling This Morning presenter Gibson: “I’ve had enough. I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home.”

Following Dent’s departure from the show, Eastenders actress Danielle Harold will enter the camp to take her place and complete the Bushtucker trial alongside Gibson, it is understood.

Fans flocked to social media to voice their concerns for the star with one person saying: “Is Grace okay? Sis isn’t even doing any trials and looks like she’s struggling.”

Another commented: “Is Grace ok? She doesn’t look alive to me.” And a third added: “She looks really ill doesn’t she!”

On Sunday evening, viewers also watched as YouTuber Nella Rose and Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson took on the Fishy Business Bushtucker trial.

Tony Bellew opened up to campmates about the highs and lows of professional boxing and Frankie Dettori and Hollyoaks’ Nick Pickard tried to win treats for the rest of the camp.

This years’ I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Has attracted lower viewing figures than last year’s series, which featured disgraced former MP Matt Hancock.

It comes after many people have called for a boycott of the show after news that former UKIP member Nigel Farage would be joining the campmates and is being paid a reported £1.5 million.
