Only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, has died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 54.
In a statement, the Presley family said they were ‘shocked and devastated’ by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie, as her passing was announced late on Thursday January 12th.
The US singer-songwriter was rushed to hospital to receive medical treatment earlier in the day, though no further details were given.
Mum-of-four Presley is said to have been taken away in an ambulance after paramedics performed CPR at her home in Calabasas.
Her father, Elvis, also died of a cardiac arrest on August 16th 1977, at the age of 42.

In a statement, her mother Priscilla said: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
The news comes shortly after Presley attended the 80th annual Golden Globe awards on Tuesday, where actor Austin Butler took home the best actor award for his portrayal of her father.
At a pre-ceremony event, she said she had been ‘overwhelmed’ by the film and the effect that it had on her, saying: “I’m very proud and I know that my father would be very proud… I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.”
