In a tribute, her family said they are ‘heartbroken’

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was found dead at her home in Greater Manchester.

Caroline Gore was found dead by police in her flat in Douglas House, Wigan, on Monday October 30th.

David Liptrot, 56, of Shelley Avenue, Coppull, has been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester magistrates on Friday November 3rd, police said.

In a tribute Ms Gore’s family said she was ‘a dearly-loved mum, daughter and sister’ and they were left ‘heartbroken’.

Detective Inspector Alex Wilkinson of GMP Major Incident Team said: “Our thoughts remain with Caroline’s family who continue to be supported by specially trained officers and are aware of the progress being made in this investigation.

“As a result of our enquiries, a man has been charged with murder however I would like to continue to appeal that anyone with information about Caroline’s death make contact with police.”

The precise cause of Ms Gore’s death has not been revealed.
