Manchester Dogs’ Home has sheltered around 100 dogs throughout lockdown, and now it’s back open they are looking for their forever home!
The rescue shelter has been closed since March 23rd, and has cared for the dogs while they waited to reopen.
It’s had a major dip in donations over the last few months and manager, Steve Mapley, has appealed for people to give what they can in both food and cash donations.
Finally, these dogs are now able to see their potential new families as the Dogs’ Home is reopen with social distancing measures in place.
We’ve pulled together some of the adorable four-legged friends who are all in need of a home.
Kobi
Kobi is an adorable seven-year-old Shih-Tzu. He’s fine with children, gets along well with other dogs and walks well on a lead!
Roxi is an affectionate, silly girl looking for an active home where she can play and learn loads of new things. She’s been waiting for her forever home since November 2019.
Patricia is a nine-year-old Patterdale Terrier who is still seriously active and loves long walks. She’s not a fan of cats or children under the age of 14 but loves toys and has been great with other dogs she’s been introduced to.
A cross-breed who loves people and company, Lucy is a four-year-old plupper who is after an active home. She also ideally needs another four-legged dog friend but definitely not a cat!
