The Met Office has forecast milder weather will begin from today, Monday February 15th, with temperatures in Greater Manchester expected to soar.
The freezing conditions throughout the start of 2021, that saw average temperatures of 0C over the weekend (although it felt much colder), are expected to change this week – finally!
Temperatures in the region are expected to reach double digits as the area sees an end to the cold snap, with highs of 13C.
From today and for the rest of the week, it is expected to be sunny with warmer weather, with temperatures rising to a spring-like 17C at the weekend.
By Monday afternoon, temperatures in Greater Manchester are expected to rise to around 12C with sunny spells and a fresh southwesterly wind.
Strong winds and isolated showers are forecast for Monday evening but the temperatures are expected to be much warmer than previous weeks with a minimum temperature of 8C.
Tuesday is set to be sunny with scattered showers and a maximum evening temperature of 12C.
The rest of the week looks mild but unsettled with blustery showers and sunny spells expected on Wednesday, strong winds and some showers on Thursday and more rain on Friday.
