Just when you thought Christmas 2021 couldn’t get any better, Aldi has announced the return of its iconic boozy advent calendars.

Now, despite it only being October, Aldi has already been knocking it out of the park with its fantastic festive offerings; just this month, shoppers have been delighted by the return of the iconic halloumi pigs in blankets – chunks of halloumi wrapped in bacon incase you missed the memo.

Shortly after that, the budget supermarket started stocking its very festive ‘glitter globe’ gin liqeuer which features tiny shards of twenty-three carat gold flakes.

But now, Aldi means business with the return of its iconic advent calendars that are filled with wine and prosecco instead of chocolate.

Yep, the signature Wine and Sparkling Wine Advent Calendars are back to keep you happy throughout December for another year; instead of finding a miniature chocolate behind each window, you will be greeted with a small bottle of wine – either red, white or rose – or a small bottle of prosseco.

Imagine waking up to that every day in the run up to Christmas?

And that isn’t all; the supermarket is also selling gin and craft beer advent calendars if wine doesn’t take your fancy.

Aldi said on their new collection: “Our amazing Advent calendars will get you in the festive mood from the very first day of December. Whether you like fizz, beer, wine or gin, they’re a great way to treat yourself every day and they make fun gifts too.”
