Aldi’s ridiculously big 48-glass prosecco bottle has made a comeback for Christmas

If you love prosecco then it goes without saying you’ll love this absolutely ridiculous bottle of the stuff from Aldi.

The budget supermarket is bringing back its mammoth six litre bottle of Giotti Prosecco DOC Methuselah, and they’re guaranteed to go down well at any party this Christmas.

Their Methuselah contains the same as eight regular bottles, but you’re probably going to need a bit of help getting it popped, or actually pouring it.

According to Aldi the prosecco is ‘light, fun and frothy with notes of parma violets, ripe pear and papaya’, and they say the bottle ‘is sure to impress your guests this Christmas.’

And the reviews are very positive, with one happy shopper saying: “I got the very big bottle of prosecco for a friend’s wedding Anniversary/Christmas present and it has gone down a treat.”

Another added: “I bought this almighty bottle for Christmas last year and now ordering another for a 50th birthday. It did take 2 people to pour it until it was half gone, but it’s an impressive bottle for a party. Just pray it’s cold enough outside to chill unless you’ve got a suitably sized fridge.”
