As the cost of energy bills continue to soar, millions of households are facing a cold and bitter winter ahead.

But out of the many issues a cold home can bring with it, damp clothes needn’t be a worry thanks to Lidl’s new heated airer.

While a tumble drier can cost as much as 85p per hour to run, the plug-in clothes airer costs just 7p per hour to use.

This means using the heated airer to dry your clothes could save people a massive 92% on their energy bills.

Shoppers have even said the airer is capable of warming up the whole room, meaning it can be doubled down as a heater, too.

Coming with twelve months of warranty, the smart solution to damp washing woes is ideal for seeing shoppers through the colder months while the outside line is out of action.

Though, of course, how much an appliance costs to run depends on how much it is used and how much energy is normally used in each household, so the overall energy cost may vary from household to household.

Lidl’s Heated Wing Clothes Airer will be available to buy in stores from Sunday October 23rd for £44.99, and people will need to be quick if they want one for themselves.

Lidl

This comes after Lidl launched a new food label to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis; the ‘Good To Give’ label helps shoppers identify thirty items that are available to be donated to food banks across the UK.

The label, found on everyday products such as canned beans, fruit, bread, cereals and rice, will highlight long-life items that offer a greater variety of nutritional benefits, and are therefore more helpful to donate.
