M&S is doing a special festive Colin the Caterpillar for Christmas this year

M&S has already announced the release of some festive bangers this year, including a light-up snow globe gin with glittery edible gold, as well as a Percy Pig advent calendar.

Well, it seems they’ve been saving the best until last, with the retailer announcing a special festive Colin the Caterpillar cake along with the rest of its range this week.

The special Christmas Colin comes complete with a Santa hat, candy holly leaves, white chocolate Christmas baubles and chocolate presents.

Underneath all this festive decoration is the same old delicious Colin, with chocolate sponge roll filled with a choc buttercream and smothered in more chocolate.

According to M&S he serves 10 – although I could definitely polish this off by myself – and he’ll set you back £10 in store.

And he isn’t the only Christmas dessert from M&S this year, as you can also grab some traditional mince pies for £1.50, or a Chocolate Orange Christmas Pudding for £12 – filled with oozy chocolate and orange sauce inside.

There’s also shimmery profiteroles, which M&S are calling Golden Balls, for £12, and the Giant Gold Bullion Bar (£20) is returning this year in a new supersized form.
