Shoppers have found a ‘hidden meaning’ in a £2 Christmas bauble from B&M.

The ‘essential’ shop B&M has been allowed to stay open in England during the lockdown, and many fans of the budget store have flocked to their local, stocking up on all things Christmas.

But some shoppers have found a ‘hidden feature’ on the store’s £2 Christmas baubles.

The embellished heart-shaped decorations have been used by people to put ashes inside.

One shopper said: “Thank you to the person that posted the other day about these ornaments to put ashes in… got one for each close member of my family and put a little card with a message on each one.”

Another added: “Aww that’s a lovely idea and beautiful ornament.”

A third said: “It’s a beautiful idea for beautiful Angels xxx”

Not everyone is convinced the idea is as lovely as others, though. One person took to Twitter to say: “I know people deal with death in their own way but I’d just like to make it really clear that I do not want my ashes hung on a Christmas tree.”

A second said: “If anyone puts me in a B&M bauble I will haunt them so hard.”
