A student nurse who survived the Manchester Arena bombing was proposed to by her boyfriend on the four year anniversary of the atrocity.
For Morgan Evans, May 22nd was always a date to dread.
The twenty-one year old had been at the Ariana Grande concert as the devastating attack, which killed twenty-two concert-goers, took place back in 2017.
While Morgan was lucky to walk away from the attack with no injuries, she still dreaded the date as it rolled around every year.

But this year, her boyfriend James Feetham decided to do something extra special to give May 22nd a different, more uplifting sentiment.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, twenty-nine year old James said: “Morgan was there when the arena bomb went off and though she wasn’t injured, she was there and remembers it.
“I can’t imagine what it must have felt like for her.
“Normally in the run up to the anniversary she feels quite on edge and upset.”
Despite buying an engagement ring back in November, James decided to bide his time until the fourth anniversary of the attack came around.
Heorganised a gathering of friends and family in their garden in Levenshulme, having recently moved house, and popped the question there and then on May 22nd.
Of course, Morgan had no idea their house-warming would soon turn into an engagement party – but she said yes regardless.
Morgan said: “I was completely shocked when I turned around and he was down on one knee.
“I think the day will always be bittersweet for me and I’ll always remember what happened.”
“But what James has done has made me so happy and hopefully I can look forward to that day too, instead of dreading it.”
James’ proposal was filmed and uploaded to TikTok and Facebook, where it has collectively surpassed over 1.5 million views in just two days.
