A company is on the look out for Manchester’s ‘dirtiest dog’, with a whole host of prizes up for grabs.
With autumn well and truly upon us, every dog owner knows the perils of walking their pet through the wind, rain and mud, and the strenuous task the subsequent bath times bring with them.
New research by pet brand Yappy.com even revealed that a massive two thirds of Brits hate their dogs getting muddy on walks, and that many will even choose a mud-free path to avoid their pets getting dirty.

A further 20% of dog owners said they always keep their pets on a lead to stop them from frolicking in the mud, while 10% admitted to dressing their dogs in coat in a bid to keep them clean.
And while a bit of mud might not initially seem like a huge problem, 60% of dog owners claim to have had their car or home damaged as a result of their mucky pups, with damages costing as much as £1,000.
So in honour of the findings, Yappy has launched a nation-wide competition to find the UK’s dirtiest dog, with three lucky winners receiving a personalised hamper of bath time products up to the value of £100.
