In even more bad news for Northerners, in what has been a nightmare two years, Greggs has warned it may run out of some items this winter. Due to supply chain issues, the popular bakery chain is warning of a shortage of vegan sausage rolls. The bakery said that ‘temporary interruptions’ to the supply of some items will occur across the country, the Reuters news agency reports.

A spokesperson said: “Some shops may not have them or may not have them throughout the day. It varies,” before adding that they are working hard to minimise disruption.
According to Greggs, the shortages apply to a number of its stores across the UK, but luckily for us sites in London are worst affected (they don’t appreciate Greggs anyway). Outlets in Canary Wharf, Earls Court, Richmond, South Woodford and Twickenham all ran out of vegan sausage rolls this week, it’s been reported.
