Iceland is selling a selection of its ready meals for just 1p this week to help customers keep their shopping costs as low as possible.
There are fourteen frozen meals included in the promotion, including chicken stew and dumplings, toad in the hole, minced beef hotpot, lasagne and cottage pie.
Shoppers can purchase the meals online with orders costing at least £25.
The offer comes as part of the frozen goods retailer’s Save Hot Dinners campaign, which was launched after Iceland found 53% of Brits plan on either reducing the number of hot dinners they eat or cutting them out completely as a result of the cost of living crisis.
Customers will be able to get up to three of the dinners for just 1p each by entering a special code before they check out online.
They will first have to select which ready meals they want to purchase and add them to their basket. When they go to the check out before paying and ordering their shop, customers can enter the discount code READY1P to discount the frozen ready meals.
The discount is available this week until Friday (November 4th) on orders of £25 or more.
Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: “Our customers told us that they really benefitted from our online 1p deal when we ran it with fresh veg, so we’re really pleased to offer it now on frozen ready meals.

“With research showing that people are giving up hot dinners due to cost-of-living concerns, offering frozen ready meals for 1p means shoppers can add them to their shop and freeze meals until they are needed.”
In response to the cost of living crisis, Iceland has also launched its ‘Big Cooker Switch Off Challenge’, which encourages families across the country ditch their ovens for more energy-efficient appliances.
Research commissioned by the frozen foods retailer shows that an electric cooker costs 87p per day to run on average, while a microwave costs just 8p.
