Ever since Oasis broke up back in August 2009, Mancunians everywhere have waited with bated breath in the hope of good news from either of the Gallagher brothers about getting the band back together.
However, the ongoing feud between Liam and Noel has poured cold water on these hopes – although Liam sometimes takes to social media to fan the flames of excitement.
At the start of the year, Liam informed his followers that he was going to retire as a solo artist after album number three, but it was the next bit that really got fans excited.
According to the singer, the reason he was quitting was because Oasis are set to reform in 2022, after he received a call from his brother.
This turned out to be nonsense – unless Noel is just playing it super cool – but now Liam has put out another call for a reunion, this time with all proceeds going to the heroes at the NHS.
He took to Twitter yesterday afternoon, writing: “Rite sick of pleading begging etc no more olive branches I DEMAND an oasis reunion after this is all over all money going to NHS c’mon you know As we were LG x”
As well as being the news all Oasis fans have been waiting for, raising money for our NHS is something absolutely everyone can get behind.
Don’t be shy, make it happen Noel!
