Liam Gallagher says he’s ‘ready’ for Oasis reunion under one condition

Liam Gallagher has said he is ‘ready’ for an Oasis reunion — under one football-related condition.

The singer-songwriter has teased he’s ‘ready to go’ if his beloved team Manchester City win the Champions League.

Teasing hopeful fans on Twitter, Liam, 50, was asked by a fan whether Oasis would reunite if City won the Champions League — following their draw away to Real Madrid on Tuesday night. To which Liam replied: “I’m ready to go.”

The ex-Oasis frontman reignited further speculation of a potential reunion amid ongoing on-off responses on the subject from the two brothers in recent times.

Though Liam has been the one keeping the faith alive, saying on numerous occasions that he’d be up for a reunion, Noel admitted earlier this year that he would be open to the concept, and confirmed that he would ‘never say never’.

The band split in 2009 following an altercation in Paris which saw Noel quit the band following a backstage argument. 

At the time, Noel said he ‘could not go on working with Liam a day longer’, later claiming he had been subjected to ‘verbal and violent intimidation’.

Over the past few years, Liam has taken to social media to admit that he’d ‘love’ to reunite and the band ‘should have never broken up’ in the first place.

With the Blues looking like they’re in with a chance of winning their first Champions League this season, fans can only hope that City supporter Noel will be so made up that he will also consider getting back together this time.

With both brothers being massive supporters of the club and Oasis’ music still being blasted around the Etihad to this day, perhaps it’s not that mad to think that it could happen?

Following the Champions League teaser, younger brother Liam even indirectly responded to fellow music legend Paul McCartney’s comments — who said that they should ‘just get together and make some good music’. 

He replied: “He’s rite.” We couldn’t agree more.
