Marcus Rashford has confirmed he and childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi are back together with a series of heartwarming photos.
The footballer shared the photographs, which show the pair together on various holidays and with Manchester United team mate Jesse Lingard, on Instagram earlier this week.
He captioned the photos ‘Through thick & thin,’ with a space, sun and heart emoji.
The couple met at Ashton-on-Mersey school and first started dating at the age of fifteen, though after eight years together in May 2021, they separated amid the Covid pandemic.

A source at the time said the pair split as a result of ‘lockdown pressures’, and still had ‘mutual love and respect’ for one another.
The source said: “The intent for them to get back together has always been there. The break was good for their relationship as it offered them both space and assurance that they wanted to make this work moving forward.
“They have been together since school so an opportunity to breathe and focus on themselves was important.”
On their reconciliation, however, another insider revealed the pair got back together at the end of last year, saying: “They have a shared history. She is one of the people who knows him best. They got back together before Christmas and are taking things slowly.

“But they make each other happy and he knows she is loyal and he can trust her.”
This comes after Rashford was named an MBE for his work in raising awareness of child food poverty and for making sure millions of meals were provided to children who would otherwise have missed out on their free school meals during the lockdown.
The footballer also fought hard against the government’s plan to cut the £20 universal credit uplift, urging them to instead tackle the ongoing ‘child hunger pandemic’.
The twenty-four-year-old was recognised for his charitable efforts in a formal ceremony with Prince William at Windsor Castle.
