Michael Gove was spotted back on the dance floor following a long day at the Conservative Conference in Manchester.
At an unknown venue somewhere in the city, Gove could be seen cutting some shapes with MP Tom Tugendhat and dozens of other Tories along to a live rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.
Gove and Tugendhat were filmed clumsily clinging onto one another as they twirled around the dance floor, much to the amusement of those dancing around them.
John Johnston, politics reporter at Politics Home, shared the video onto Twitter, writing: “Michael Gove and Tom Tugendhat are having a *great* time on the dance floor at Tory conference.”
Though this isn’t the first time Gove has been spotted enjoying a night out – back in August he was filmed on the dance floor in a nightclub in Aberdeen, footage that instantly went viral and sparked the debate as to whether people over the age of forty should be allowed into nightclubs at all.
This instance of rouge dancing comes just one day after Gove’s colleague, leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg was seen standing down Peter Street after being denied entry into Revólucion De Cuba.
According to JOE Media, the cabinet minister was turned away at the door of the popular student bar at around 1 o’clock in the morning, with a member of staff simply telling the publication: “We stopped letting people in.”
The source at the bar added that after Rees-Mogg was denied entry ‘all the other Tories inside ran to the door to get a selfie with him.’
The MP was seen down Peter Street chatting to a small group of people, including student Conservative Jordan Bhardwaj, who wrote on Twitter: “Fancy bumping into Jacob Rees-Mogg outside of Revolution Bar at 1am!”
She added that the two ‘didn’t really talk’ but she still managed to snap a quick video of him standing outside the club.
