If you’re looking for a bit of costume inspiration for the festive period then look no further, we’ve got you covered. A mum shared the epic Grinch-themed costumes she made for her kids for Christmas, and they’ve gone down a storm. And it’s easy to see why, as besides looking incredible, the costumes only cost her a mere £4.99 to assemble.

Cassie Middleton shared a photo of the costumes in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, and everyone was loving the results.
The photo shows her son dressed as the grumpy green Grinch, while her daughter is Cindy Lou Who, with her hair all spiked up.
Cassie wrote in the group: “Grinch dress up costumes are sooo expensive to buy, but the kids love the Grinch, so I made my own, using an old santa dress up top, a green feather boa, and a pair of green tights! Cindy Lou’s cape was only £4.99 off eBay and the rest we already had!”

According to Cassie, she kept her daughter’s hair up using half a plastic bottle, as well as garden wire and hairspray.
At the time of writing the post had racked up 36,000 reacts and 2,500 comments, with one person commenting: “That is amazing. Never thought of using a feather boa before”. And there was a good reason for them dressing up, as they were collecting money for Cassie’s friend’s crowdfunding page, who is raising funds for Marie Curie.
