With summer barely out the door, many retailers and supermarkets are already gearing up for the festive season.
And M&S is one of the places wasting no time with getting into the Christmas spirit, with shoppers spotting a number of festive-themed items on its shelves already.
But perhaps the most talked-about new addition is the new Christmas biscuit tin that magically doubles down into a festive nightlight, ideal for getting children excited for a visit from Father Christmas.
One shopper shared a photo of the biscuit tin onto the popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK, alongside a video of it in action.

Shopper Carl Brookes said of his purchase: “New Christmas biscuit tin from marks and Spencer’s for £9 which is also a santa sleigh night light.”
He added: “You get a tray of shortbread and a tray of shortbread cookies.”
Fellow Couponing members couldn’t contain their excitement over the festive addition to M&S shelves, with one person writing: “I’m such a grinch and I love this!”
Another commented: “Pls [sic] M&S stop, I love it but just can’t fit more stuff in my loft”, while a third wrote: “I got one of these yesterday. They’re so beautiful!”

With many people saying they couldn’t find the festive tin available to buy online, Carl, who works at M&S, replied: “They are in store as I work in M&S and bought it this morning.”
The M&S biscuit tin and nightlight is available to buy now for £9 in stores only.
