PG Tips, the undisputed kings of tea, has launched a new blend of tea designed especially for our beloved pooches.
In very important preparation for International Dog Day this Thursday, August 26th, the popular tea brand has collaborated with the award-winning dog drinks company Woof & Brew to create a new ‘English Breakwoof’ infused tea that’s suitable for, you guessed it, dogs.
As you’d expect, the limited-edition tea has been brewed a little differently to your standard English Breakfast blend, and needs to be served cold.
Danny Anderson, the fund-raising manager at Support Dogs, told The Independent that the support of PG Tips following a difficult year is an ‘amazing’ help, adding: “As with many small charities, the last eighteen months have been horrible for fundraising [and] our income dropped by 40%.
“To have the support of other companies, especially one like PG Tips is amazing. Aside from the donations, it will help create awareness of organisations like ours which aren’t able to get their names out there as easily.”
Charlotte Ridley, the Marketing Manager at PG Tips, added: “English Breakwoof means that pups no longer need feel left out when their owners are relaxing with a cup of tea.”
And, even more amazingly, as a part of the #CuppaWithYourPuppa campaign, 100% of the profits made from the dog tea sold will go to Support Dogs UK, a charity that trains service dogs to help people living with conditions such as epilepsy, autism and blindness.
Although it’s not set to go on sale until Thursday, the new tea is already available for pre-order on the PG Tips website, and will set you back just £9.99 per box. Each box comes with ten bio-degradable teabags for your dog, and forty standard PG Tips bags for yourself.
