As the temperature drops, the leaves fall from the trees, and you’re after something warmer to wear, look no further because Primark has new Teletubbies onesies in stock.
It’s that time of year again, when the nights are drawing in, and any day now you will have to give in and turn the heating on – if you haven’t already.
Autumnal clothing has taken over the shops and cosy onesies are back.
As per usual, Primark have been getting particularly creative with the one-piece wearable fleeces, with their new Teletubbies onesies.
The onesies come in four colours representing each of the Teletubbies characters; Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po – so you can pick your favourite one.
While some may find it kind of cute or perhaps just appreciate a bit of nostalgia, others have expressed they aren’t too keen on the ‘petrifying’ costumes – as one person described them.
For £24, fans can bag themselves one of the coloured fleeces, in either purple, green, yellow or red, and wrap up warm as one of their favourite children’s TV characters.
This versatile clothing item can be worn on the sofa, to bed, taking the dog for a walk or even to a fancy dress party.
Staff from Primark in Carlisle have even put together a funny TikTok video dressed up as Teletubbies, mimicking their dance moves and showcasing the new onesies.
Social media users flocked to the comments to share their opinions, and it seems they were pretty divided.
Some Teletubbies fans called for a Primark date with their besties to get their hands on one ASAP, saying ‘Primark trip soon please’. Another thought it would make a good ‘festival costume’, while someone else decided: “Hen do outfit sorted.”
With spooky season just around the corner, commenters even thought they’d make a good Halloween costume, as they suggested: “Halloween costume idea: Scary Teletubby?” and “Shall we be Teletubbies for Halloween?”
Not as keen on the new fashion drop as the others, one person said: “This is the scariest thing Primark has ever done.”
Another asked: “Why are they so expensive though?”
Definitely against the idea of grown adults dressing up as Teletubbies, another said firmly: “If someone comes to my till trying to buy this I’ll actually refuse.”
With someone else adding in agreement: “And this is one of the reasons why I am so glad I handed my notice in at Primark.”
