A ‘super dad’ came to the rescue of his six-year-old daughter as she became stuck on a waterslide at a theme park.

Andrew Jackson, 38, and his partner Emma Reece, 41, were enjoying a day out at Gulliver’s World theme park in Warrington for their daughter’s sixth birthday, on Saturday June 10th.

Whilst on a three-lane outdoor waterslide, called the Toga Tower, which people sit in dinghies as they slide down, Sienna suddenly became stuck as it reached one of the bumps.

Sienna shouted for help and dad Andrew immediately stepped in to save the day.

Mum Emma, from Rainhill in Liverpool, told the Liverpool Echo: “I could see Sienna had started to cry and was getting panicked. Andrew said, ‘I’m going to have to walk up there and get her’.”

In video footage of the moment captured, Andrew can be seen gripping the edges of the slide as he climbed his way up, avoiding the water so as not to get washed back down.

Emma can be heard laughing as she watches him climb up against the vertical slide.

As Andrew reached his daughter sitting in the dinghy, crowds of onlookers can be heard cheering him on as he came to her rescue.

He then tried to pull the dinghy forward so it would go over the bump and continue the ride for Sienna. After an initial struggle, the dad got it to move down using his feet and arms on the sides as he sat on it with his daughter.

The two came safely down the slide and received cheers from people watching nearby, including his partner Emma, who said: “There was cheering from the top and bottom.

The clip has since gone viral on TikTok with 218.3k likes and 2890 shares, and has also been shared on news channels and websites including CNN and Fox News.

Birthday girl Sienna said she was ‘happy’ when her dad managed to rescue her and agreed he was a ‘super dad’.
