If you’ve been missing your meatball fix from Ikea, then don’t worry as it’s not long to go until you’ll be able to grab some.

Non-essential shops have been closed all year during the national lockdown in England.

As part of the government’s ‘roadmap out of lockdown’ they will be able to reopen from April 12th at the earliest.

This includes Ikea stores across England, with the Manchester branch one of those set to reopen on April 12th.

This means not long to go until we can once again eat all the meatballs we can, before wobbling around the store shopping for flat pack goods.

While Ikea has remained closed for browsing and in-store purchases, it has remained open to operate a click and collect service.

Ikea’s website says: “We’re still open online for home deliveries, as well as for click and collect with thorough safety measures in place for both services.”

Argos will also be reopening on April 12th, although it is currently open for collection of pre-paid items.

According to a message on the Argos website: “Following guidelines, we have made changes across our stores for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

“Please read below for the latest updates for stores in your area, returning items and our Click & Collect service. These guidelines have replaced our usual services, and will be in place until advised otherwise.

“To avoid any non-essential journeys, we’ve extended our returns policy – any purchases made from 18 October 2020 can be returned up to 30 days from the re-opening of non-essential retail in your area, in-line with our returns guarantee.”
