A woman decided to completely stop doing all housework after her husband commented that she does nothing around the house — and she shared her results to TikTok.

TikToker @lindsaydonnelly2 wanted to put what he said to the test and teach him a lesson.

Looking to get her revenge, she completely boycotted doing any housework for two days and then posted the results on her social media.

It seems that two days was the furthest she could push it before the chaos became too much and the whole house fell apart.

She posted the video to her TikTok and captioned it: ‘Then I left town for a girls trip… #marriagehumor’.

In the video she faces the camera, looking a little miffed, with the words: “My husband made a comment that I do nothing around the house.”

She changes her expression as the display text reads: “So for two days, I really did nothing around the house,” and looks pretty pleased with herself for proving a point.

Then the TikToker shows how bad things got, showing dirty dishes left in the sink and all over the kitchen surfaces. Bills and paperwork are also scattered everywhere and toys are all over the floor.

Next, we’re shown what’s meant to be a dining room table, but that’s just a guess as it looks more like a mixture of a work desk, an ironing board and the inside of a toddler’s catch-it bib, all propped up on four wooden legs.

The corner sofa has been gobbled up by the dirty laundry, which seems to have taken on a life of its own. And the bathroom has become its own version of ‘the messy drawer’ — we all have one of these.

The video went viral, but way more viral than she was expecting. At the time of writing it had 17.3 million views, 2.9 million likes and 29.1k comments.

One person laughed: “I wanna do this but it would drive ME crazy.”

Another, contemplating whether or not to rejoin the dating scene, added: “Today I was like, maybe I could try dating again and then I saw your tiktok … nope, I’m good.”

A third was calling for her to end it all, saying: “DIVORCE RN.”

And another picked up on the humour, typing: “Hashtag says Marriage Humour so I’m guessing a joke…but if that was a genuine comment, I’d be gone faster than Usain Bolt.”

Amazed at how viral the video went, the couple did a follow up post to reassure followers that all was well, he had apologised, and the couple saw the funny side to their TikTok fame.

The husband admitted to being proven wrong and the pair could be seen chuckling at the absolute roasting he got online for it from his wife’s post.

In another video, the TikToker joked that she may ‘accidentally roast you in a TikTok video and let 7 million people join in on the fun’ — which made the first video shoot even further up in views.

And then in another video, clearly going on some kind of a guilt trip about it all, she said she ‘roasted my almost perfect husband’, admitting he ‘cleans daily more than I do’. And she lists all the things he does for her.

Calling him her ‘perfect husband’ and seeing them chuckle together at the viral post, it seems that a ‘DIVORCE RN’ is definitely not on the cards for them!
