There’s a cake outlet in Greater Manchester selling rows and rows of yummy cast offs at discounted prices, including everyone’s favourite Colin the Caterpillar for £1.50.

They’re wonky, they’re a bit broken, they’re not perfect but they’re definitely still delicious as hell, and a whole lot cheaper too.

Who doesn’t love a slice of Colin? It’s made of a chocolatey airy sponge covered with a rich buttercream filling, smothered in thick milk chocolate, sprinkled with chocolate pieces and even has a thick white chocolate face and feet.

According to the Manchester Evening News, at Park Cakes’ outlet in Oldham ‘there are hundreds if not thousands’ of the sweet treats all lined up on the shelves just waiting to be bought.

For chocolate and cake lovers, it’s an absolute heaven under one roof. All the cakes are from Park Cakes Factory — who bake all the cakes for the likes of Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi.

The outlet sells all the poor Colins that didn’t quite make the grade and look a little imperfect.  You’ll also find mis-shapen millionaire shortbread bites, wonky cookie dough bites and wiggly chocolate rolls — as well as plenty of other of your faves.

A broken Colin for £1.50 is pretty amazing compared to £8.50 you’d pay for a full price one only to go and slice it up anyway.

There’s also £1 swiss rolls, flapjack bites, millionaires shortbread bites and cookie dough bites for £2, 40 mini Colin rolls for £2 and Victoria sponges and a four-pack of egg custards for 70p.

You could stock up for a party on the cheap, fill your treats cupboard or just get loads in for a mega feast night.

But, you have to get there early as queues are reportedly forming around the corner for store opening. With rising costs it’s no wonder people are seeking out bargains wherever they can.
