Coronation Street viewers complain ‘kinky’ scenes made them ‘feel sick’

Coronation Street fans were left with unsettled stomachs this week by comically ‘kinky’ scenes between Sally Metcalfe and her husband Tim.

In Tuesday night’s episode of the long-running ITV soap, veteran character Sally – played by Sally Dynevor – was on a mission to seduce her husband, unaware that he’d just received devastating news that he needs a triple heart bypass operation.

When Tim arrived home, he found Sally waiting in a silky dressing gown, before being requested to put on a ‘butler in the buff’ costume she had bought for him.

As Tim stared at his wife’s skimpy outfit in obvious horror, an unsuspecting Sally explained: “It has a magnetic catch for easy release.”

Clearly with too much on his mind and keeping the surgery news to himself, Tim eventually rejected Sally’s advances, who said forlornly: “It was bit of sexy fun, I wish I hadn’t bothered now.”

However, many viewers struggled to sympathise with Sally’s rejection and instead took to Twitter to express their disgust over the scene, with some even going as far as to say it made them ‘feel sick’.

One Twitter user wrote simply: “Sally please stop”, while another posted a vomiting emoji alongside, “Oh my god Sally.”

Another tweeted: “@itvcorrie oh god Sally and Tim ‘dressing up’ isn’t something I want on my mind before I go to bed!!”

However, some people saw the funny side to Sally’s raunchy efforts, with one person writing, “Kinky Sal is hilarious” and another noting, “Then again, I’m not a fan of the new kinky Sally Metcalfe.”
