Scrooges, look away now: A free TV channel showing constant Christmas films around the clock will be launching later this month.
Despite the festive season being three whole months away, GREAT! Movies Christmas has decided to get into the spirit of things a bit early with their constant showing of all the Christmas classics, such as Home Alone and Elf.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the channel’s very Christmasy line-up will also include exclusive premieres such as A Christmas Melody, Just In Time For Christmas, Call Me Claus, and Crazy For Christmas.

Themed collections such as ‘Christmas Presents’ and ‘Christmas Comedy Capers’ are also set to be showcased on the channel.
And, even better for all you Christmas lovers out there, the channel will be completely free to watch as long as you have access to Freeview: 51, Sky: 319, Virgin: 424, and Freesat: 303.
If you’re still convinced that September is too early for Yuletide festivities, a pyschologist recently revealed that watching Christmas films is actually good for your health.
The unnamed psychologist studied the impact festive films such as Christmas Carol, Elf, It’s A Wonderful Life and Home Alone had on people’s health, and said that the movies can help people live ‘longer and healthier’ lives.

They said: “It does create that neurological shift that can produce happiness.
“I think anything that takes us out of our normal habituation, the normal day in, day out, signals our senses, and then our senses measure if it’s pleasing or not. Christmas decorating will spike dopamine, a feel-good hormone.”
GREAT! Movies Christmas will be available on Thursday, September 23rd.
