After Gino D’Acampo announced he had quit Road Trip earlier this year, fans can now rejoice that he will reunite with Gordon and Fred for a new series.

The foodie trio will be back on our screens getting up to no good as they cook and sample some delightful dishes along their travels.

Earlier this year D’Acampo announced he was leaving the show due to issues around the filming schedule.

The celebrity chef explained that it was difficult to align schedules and ‘get the dates together’, but that even if they could, the dates ‘did sometimes get changed’.

He said this caused him problems with booking other jobs and trying to find time to spend with his family, although he said he still has a ‘great friendship’ with co-stars Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix.

Of making Road Trip, Ramsay said his co-stars were ‘wonderful, fantastic, incredible pain in the a**es’, while Sirieix said the three were still friends and it was ‘fun while it lasted’.

But, rumours circulated suggesting the trio were not getting along and had fallen out. Now, news of a new series coming out has put a swift end to that notion.

Gino, Gordon and Fred: Viva Espana! will see the three amigos head to Spain in their beloved RV once again.

The new series will be available on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX next month, though the exact date it will broadcast has not yet been revealed.

The new show will see the three on an ‘epic odyssey across Andalusia and Galicia’ and while they travel across Spain they will face a series of hilarious challenges ranging from ‘driving to cooking, jamón tasting and flamenco dancing’.

ITV say the pals ‘will once again be battling it out for supremacy’ while ‘bringing their very own brand of bromance and bickering in equal measure’.

Viewers can ‘expect more stunning locations, high octane surprises and above all, a determination to have the time of their lives in what looks set to be their most outrageous road trip yet’.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for ITV, said: “We can’t wait to get back on the road with the viewers’ favourite trio, Gordon, Gino and Fred, for another unmissable culinary adventure.

“We have a few surprises planned to ensure that this will be a trip to remember – Spain won’t know what’s hit it!”

Gordon Ramsay said: “Here. We. Go. Again!!!! VAMOS! Really happy that me and my amigos will once again be on the road together driving across Spain.

“Amazing food, great wine, culture, history and traditions and of course the usual ridiculous annoyances of working with Gino and Fred! Ay dios mío!”

Even if this turns out to be their last trip, we can’t wait for this!
