As the start date for the new I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is revealed, its first rumoured contestant has landed on Aussie soil.
As the British weather gets colder, the nights draw in and the Christmas goodies fill the shelves, you know it’s that time again.
That’s right, it’s time for our favourite duo, Ant and Dec, to host the newest series of I’m A Celebrity as we watch stars take on all sorts of nerve wrecking and vomit-inducing challenges as they survive in the Aussie jungle.
A teaser advert, which aired this morning, confirmed the show will begin on November 19th, which is less than two weeks away.
Although the official line-up of celebs taking part in the show has not been announced yet, rumours have already been circulating as fans go wild for its return.
One of the rumoured celebrity contestants is said to have already touched down in Australia today. World famous Jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, is tipped to be heading to the camp site.
It comes after the Italian Jockey shared on his Twitter that he would be flying from California to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup, but he will be attending as a ‘spectator’.
Dettori wrote: “Unfortunately, this year I’m suspended, so I can[t] ride but I will support the Melbourne Cup carnival for the week, see some old friends riding and have a smashing time at the racing.”
It’s been reported in the past that Dettori is keen to appear in the ITV show.
Landing in Aus earlier than the other contestants, a source reportedly told The Sun: “Frankie is a superstar signing for jungle casting producers as he is a legend in the horse racing world and would be reality TV gold.
“He might be pint-sized, but his personality is larger than life and he has real charm and a sense of humour.
“Frankie would be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials too as being competitive is second nature to him.”
Other celebs rumoured to be making their way to the Australian jungle in the coming days are Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, JLS’s Marvin Humes, First Dates’ Fred Siriex, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, Ru Paul’s Drag Race’s The Vivienne and even Nigel Farage.
Last year’s series saw football star Jill Scott crowned Queen of the Jungle. Who do you think could be in with a chance of winning this year?
